31st Annual Blessing of the Animals!

We
owe the animals a gift of thanks.
Particularly
in a city with many single people, the animals are our
special friends.
They
share our homes. They are our comforters.
They
bring out our compassionate side.

Finally,
as Christians we are reminded that

whole created order is also longing for new re-created
life.
As
Christ was raised, then shall we die and be raised.
So,
we find ourselves in a kind of fellowship with the animals

as
we yearn for a risen life
