AIDS Walk New York: May 18

We are walking!

How about you?

Come join your fellow parishioners and Episcopalians in walking the streets of Manhattan to fight AIDS in the dioceses of New York, Long Island, and Newark. Together we will raise financial support so that our parishes can help people of all faiths whose lives are challenged by HIV and AIDS. Last year our walkers raised enough to support five parish-based programs, including our own Open Door program. This year our goal is to have 10 walkers from St. John’s participate to help the ERA team raise $70,000.

So, join us in Central Park on Sunday, May 18, for a celebration of life! We’ll make it a party, with a pre-walk outdoor Eucharist with a commissioning and blessing of walkers, continental breakfast, team photos, distribution of t-shirts and other goodies, 10k walk in Central Park, with live entertainment and snacks along the way, a post-walk celebration, and fantastic fellowship for people of all ages!!! We promise an experience you won’t forget.

Walk in love as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God.

See you in the Park!
