Summer 2008 At Incarnation Camp -

The Authentic Summer Camp

Experience since 1886

Incarnation Camp is a tremendous resource for use by members of our diocese to involve youth in the life of the church and church in the lives of youth. Founded by the Church of the Incarnation in 1886, Incarnation Camp is rich in tradition with campers and staff coming back year after year.

A new chapter bean at Incarnation in 2003 with the arrival of a new Camp Director and a new Executive Director. Thanks to generous donations by several of the churches in the diocese, a waterslide, a high and low ropes challenge course, a mini movie theater and new arts building, a farm, an alpine climbing tower and a roller hockey rink have been added tho the facility. From a swim in the pristine mile-long private lake to searching for salamanders, Incarnation Camp is the perfect place for kids to be kids. The beautiful Lakeside Chapel is the key gathering place for all-camp activity. A Lilly Endowment report notes that 1 in 3 youngsters have had a life-changing experience at summer camp. Wouldn’t it be wonderful for that experience to occur at one of our own Episcopal camps?

Perhaps you know of a child who would benefit from such an experience! Information is a available in the common room or by visiting www.incarnationcamp.org.
