The summer is here and we search to find cool spots. It is time for vacations and places for the weekends. Enjoy yourself.

In July, John Singler will be going on a cruise to Alaska and celebrating his birthday. In August, he will give a paper in Cayenne, French Guiana....Susan Harrigan reported on her trip to the Near East. One of the highlights of the trip was spending several hours by herself in the Haggia Sofia in Instanbul, Turkey. She and her husband, Peter, visited Dushanbe, Tajikistan and her daughter and son-in-law drove them to see some very ancient cities, Samarqand and Bukhara in Uzbekistan....Jay Campbell is leaving for Alaska for the Denali National Park, a great wildlife sanctuary....In early August, Andrew Jones and Gordon King will tour Austria and the Czech Republic with their choral group, the Schola Cantorum on Hudson....In May, Michael Rebic and Jeff Harris traveled to Savanah, Georgia for Jeff's niece's wedding. They had a wonderful country dinner with ham hocks and greens....By mistake Maureen Crowe wasn't listed as an attendee to the parish retreat at Holy Cross.

David De Porte and his dog Xia went to his Cornell reunion at the University. On July 19, his great aunt, Eugenia will put on an art show at a gallery in Woodstock, N.Y. David will help her arrange the show....Dan Weick attended the National Conference of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy in Washington D.C. from June 12 through June 15 ... The Rev'd Gary Hellman is going on a white water rafting trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon
