David
E. Buck is a postulant for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church
and was ordained in the Baptist Church in 1974.
He
recently served a seminary internship at St. John's in the
Village and previously served in Children's Christian Education
at St. Patrick's Episcopal Mission, Mooresville, NC. He also
served in pastoral ministry at several Baptist churches in
North Carolina, New Jersey, and Louisiana and as Director
of Christian Education at a Lutheran church in North Carolina.
His
academic credentials include the following: Diploma in Anglican
Studies, the General Theological Seminary, NYC; Doctor of
Ministry in Theology, magna cum laude, Candler School of theology,
Emory University, Atlanta, GA; Master of Theology in Biblical
Studies, Princeton Theological Seminary, NJ; Master of Divinity
in Church History (first in class), New Orleans Baptist Theological
Seminary; Bachelor of Arts in French, Davidson College, Davidson,
NC.
Dr.
Buck is also a private tutor in Biblical Greek, Hebrew and
Ecclesiastical Latin.
A
father of three daughters, Sarah (1974), Mary (1975), and
Rachel (1980), he says he “enjoys reading, especially theology
history and poetry, gardening, chess, computer work, cultural
events, fine arts, and almost all sports, especially tennis,
golf and jogging."

completed thirteen marathons and three triathlons when in
my 40's and 50's. And in two of the marathons I personally
raised over $2,000 on behalf of the Shelter for Battered Women
of Charlotte, NC.” |
