Special Services
The Book of Occasional Services, published by Church Publishing Co, in New York, current edition 1991. This book contains special liturgies for particular occasions such as dedicating various objects, secularizing a church, the stations of the cross, and the order for blessing a home.

Holy Days
Lesser Feasts and Fasts, published by Church Publishing Co., in New York, current edition 1997. This book contains material for minor holy days such as St. Francis’ Day, including hagiographies, which are biographies of the saints.

The Bible
Many editions of the scriptures are available, but one seeking to purchase a good Bible should choose one which is written in modern English and which contains not only the Old Testament and the New Testament, but also the Apocrypha. An annotated Bible contains reference material in footnotes and introductory articles. One good Bible is the Harper Collins Study Bible, in the New Revised standard Version (NRSV), published by Harpers in New York, 1993.
