Sunday 1 December - 4:30 PM
ADVENT CAROL SERVICE
Carols by Candlelight: an Advent Sequence for World AIDS Day is sung by the professional Choir of St John's in the Village in collaboration with the Choir of Dignity New York, an LGBTQ group which meets regularly at St John's, and is in support of the upkeep of the New York City AIDS Memorial, which is just a stone's throw from St John's.
Music by Arvo Pärt, Jacob Handl, Boris Ord, Thomas Morley, and many other composers.
The carols, to which those of all faiths or of none are welcome, are followed by a seasonal hot mulled wine reception (with soft drink options) in Revelation Gallery, the art gallery of St John's.
Free, but registration is helpful for catering purposes.

Tuesday 3 December - 7;00 - 9:00 PM (Gallery)
GALLERY OPENING: KAZUYA MORIMOTO
New York City based artist Kazuya Morimoto was born and raised in Japan and studied at the Art Factory Institution Of Art with Makoto Arimichi in Japan. Shortly after graduation, Kazuya moved to New York City to study painting at the Art Students League. Recently Kazuya Morimoto has been devoting most of his time to painting the streets of New York City.
This exhibition runs until Christmas. Gallery opening hours (which are subject to change) are: Mons, Tues, Weds from 10am to 3pm. The Gallery is also the venue for evening concerts and receptions.
The Opening Reception (Tuesday 3 December from 7pm to 9pm) is free, but registration is required for catering purposes

DIRECTORJAM
DirectorJam is a work-in-progress showing of four director-driven works, featuring excerpts of work in development by directors Shadi Ghaheri, Jessi Hill, Mei Ann Teo, and Em Weinstein. Ranging from choreography to storytelling to new work, this event is a window into four directors' unique processes.

CONCERT: ANTONIO GALERA, PIANIST
Spanish pianist Antonio Galera presents a program featuring music by J.S.Bach, C. Franck, C. Debussy and H. Dutilleux, included in his first solo album, "Prelude".

CONCERT: REIMAN MUSIC STUDENTS

Pianist John Urban and tenor Kyle Viverito present a concert of early 19th-century art song and solo piano works centered around thematic material both musical and poetic from Beethoven's only song cycle, An Die Ferne Geliebte ("To the Distant Beloved")

READING: I AM TROY DAVIS
Troy Davis was an innocent man on Georgia’s death row, executed in 2011. I Am Troy Davis takes us inside a violent criminal justice system where life and death hang in the balance. It is also a testament to the power of love and resilience of family. The performers are all death row survivors, family members of death row prisoners and wrongfully convicted people, and family members of those killed by police and racist violence.

CONCERT: UNA SERA ITALIANA
Croatian soprano Yelka Milanova with pianist Michael Fennelly presents a concert of Italian classical art songs, Italian arias, and piano excerpts from opera. The concert is followed by a drinks reception. This concert is repeated on Thursday 19 December.

SINGER, SONG-WRITER, SPOKEN WORD NIGHT
